Woman killed in fiery crash involving truck at South Morang in Melbourne’s northeast

Fears for the driver of a burnt-out car have been confirmed after a fatal crash at South Morang, in Melbourne’s northeast, on Tuesday morning.

A woman was driving on Gorge Rd when she and a truck collided, and her car burst into flames upon impact about 9.30am.

Emergency services tried to save the woman, but she died at the scene. She is yet to be formally identified.
