There’s nothing sweeter for the senses than a beautiful flower garden in full bloom. It’s nature’s bounty at its very best and is one of the simplest, most delightful pleasures to gaze upon and smell.

But what could elevate this blooming gorgeous experience even more? To have one of those beautiful flowers named after you. And, lucky Meghan Markle has recently been given this ultimate gift of Mother Nature by having a flower named after her.

Markle isn’t the first royal to have a flower named for her, it’s quite the royal tradition with House Beautiful reporting Prince Harry and Prince William’s beloved late mother, Princess Diana, had a number of flowers named after her including a pink clematis called Princess Diana clematis, and a peachy-pink rose called the Diana, Princess of Wales, rose. Queen Elizabeth II has a stunning pale pink rose, the Queen Elizabeth rose, named for her, and even three-year-old Princess Charlotte has a fleur named after her, the Princess Charlotte chrysanthemum.
