A chilly day is expected in many states after wild weather including hail, wind and ice swept across the country overnight. Western Australia is facing more wet weather after a cold front lashed the state, bringing lightning, gusty winds and hail. Gusts of 95km/h in Bunbury were recorded and Perth saw 36mm of rain - but it was sizeable hail that caught locals in the southwest by surprise. Meanwhile, Victorians are shivering through another icy start to the day with the temperatures slipping well into the negatives.
